The first „Claim the Waves“ networking event took place in 2018 at Radio Lora in Zurich, and after Vienna and Leipzig, the feminist radio days CTW 2024 are now moving to Graz, Austria, with a comprehensive self-organized international program of workshops, lectures, and live broadcasts. The festival will be accompanied by a feminist radio program on air.

In our festival headquarters at the Schaumbad Graz, you can expect a variety of activities, music, and discussions, as well as vegan food.

What is CTW? Claim The Waves – Feminist Radio Festival is a non-commercial festival initiated and self-organized by free radios from all over Europe. This year, Radio Helsinki from Graz is hosting the event. We invite FINTA* persons to participate in the workshops as workshop leaders or participants in a safe space and a space of empowerment. We invite everyone to enjoy the open festival program.

Food: We offer a vegan dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and brunch on Sunday. The food is free. Drinks will be very cheap.

Accommodation: Please indicate when registering that you need accommodation. We will do our best to make this possible free of charge or very cheaply.

Childcare: If you need childcare, we will provide it. Please indicate this when registering.

How can you participate? You can participate by coming to Graz, attending interesting workshops, exchanging ideas with other radio makers and listening to good music and exciting panels. Simply fill out this form to register.

Do you want to get even more involved? Great! You can help bring the festival to life in many ways!
We need volunteers for various tasks such as preparing food, helping with the program on stage, supporting the livestream, cleaning up, accreditation, creating photos and videos and much more.

If you would like to offer a program item for the festival yourself, you can submit a proposal for a workshop, a panel on or off stage, an installation, sound walks or whatever you can imagine as a feminist.

Live streaming and radios: Are you a free radio and would like to use our livestream? The livestream will take place on Saturday, September 28th from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Radio Helsinki and live from the venue. Please indicate by September 15th, 2024 at the latest whether your radio will be participating.
